Captain Xtreme is built on the foundation of honesty and integrity and will provide you with:

  • Asphalt Paving & Repair
  • After years of wear and tear, your asphalt driveway or blacktop may need a few minor repairs. We are experts at this type of maintenance, which can include the use of emulsified liquids, plastic fillers, and/or solid cold-patches.

Keep in mind; however, if you notice impressions left by car tires that have been parked overnight or heaving, tilting, or cracking in cold weather these are more serious conditions. In these cases a new driveway may be required as these conditions indicate poor construction or poor drainage.

In order to promote successful pavement performance we, at Captain Xtreme Asphalt, will first develop a design plan, which will help to create a stable base structure. At this point, we will then begin installing the selected pavement type. The duration of the process will depend on the size and scope of the area requiring pavement, but our efficient team will ensure that your pavement needs are completed with the highest quality of workmanship.

  • Hot Rubber Crack Fill

Asphalt Crack Filling is one of the most important aspects of Asphalt Pavement repair and should be done prior to Seal coating the pavement.

If not addressed, moisture, dirt and grass will enter the crack and penetrate the surface of the pavement leading to "Soft Spots" (Which leads to Pot Holes) and vegetation will bust the pavement. Moisture will freeze and this will also bust the pavement. Usually these areas will become Alligatored first and that is the beginning of a serious Pot Hole which will require a different repair procedure.

  • Hot Asphalt Patching

When it comes to your asphalt surface, skin patching is a fast and noticeable improvement. It is far more cost-effective to repair asphalt surfaces than to remove and replace.

Skin patching is the most popular method of surface patching. An asphalt tack (glue) is applied to the patch area and hot asphalt concrete is placed directly on top of the existing asphalt surface. It is much less expensive than remove and replace and will give you a life of approx. 5 years.

Removing and replacing asphalt concrete is more permanent and is your long term repair. This repair is not always necessary unless you experience base failure (asphalt foundation). In this case removal is required in order to properly compact and prepare the base. The new asphalt concrete patch is then applied in two lifts (layers). Each lift being compacted for a more stable, permanent repair.

  • Petromat Overlays
  • Cracked pavements can lead to water being trapped and saturated into sub-grade soils, creating increased damages to the pavement surface. However, since petromat is a special type of polypropylene material it will significantly reduce the deterioration of surface pavement. In addition to being cost effective, the petromat overlay will act as a moisture barrier and stress absorbing interlayer enhancing both function and performance.

  • Seal Coating
  • A seal coat will seal asphalt pavement preventing oxidation and erosion of the top layers of asphalt. Since the seal coat will replace fine particles lost over time, this will also help avoid small cracks from turning into larger cracks and prevent water damage in the base material.

After laying new pavement, it is recommended that the pavement be given 6-12 months to cure before beginning seal coating. Also, seal coating should be reapplied every 3-4 years or as necessary, as this will prevent against larger structural damages.

  • Striping
  • Pavement marking or striping helps to provide significant visual cues and definition, as seen with traffic controls, hazard markings, edge of roadway markings, turn symbols, etc. It is important to have an effective team working on your pavement markings; and, at Captain Xtreme Asphalt we ensure that you have the proper survey, layout and location for all your pavement marking needs.

  • Handicap Logos
  • There are state mandated ADA regulations which determine the required number of handicapped parking spaces as well as the format of pavement markings or striping. At Captain Xtreme Asphalt, we have a thorough understanding of these regulations and will assist with handicap upgrades to ensure your business is always within legal standards.

  • Stenciling

A stencil is a used to draw or paint identical letters, numbers, symbols, shapes, or patterns every time it is used. Stencil technique in visual art is also referred to as pochoir. Stencils are formed by removing sections from template material in the form of text or an image. We provide this service for anyone who needs text or images applied to their asphalt, including Handicap zone markers, direction markers, and other forms of conveying communication to the driver.

  • Wheel Stops

Wheel Stops - Parking Curb - Car Stops helps ensure vehicles stop at the proper location when parking – preventing damage to buildings, sidewalks, curbs and delicate landscape. Inside, they function as bumper cushions and protection for motorized carts, forklift trucks and vehicles operating in factories and warehouses. Ideal for retail/commercial/business parking lots, parking garages and municipalities, wheel stops provide needed order by delineating parking spots and ensuring proper distancing.

  • Bollards

Bollards are rigid posts that can be arranged in a line to close a road or path to vehicles above a certain width and to separate traffic from pedestrians.

Bollards can be mounted near enough to each other that they block ordinary cars, for instance, but wide enough to permit special-purpose vehicles through. Bollards can be used to enclose car-free zones: Removable bollards allow access for service and emergency vehicles. Bollards and other Street furniture are used to control overspill parking onto Sidewalks and verges.

Tall (1.15 meter/4 foot) slim (10 cm/4 inch) fluorescent red or orange plastic bollards with reflective tape and removable heavy rubber bases are frequently used in road traffic control where traffic cones would be inappropriate due to their width and ease of movement. Also referred to as delineators, the bases are usually made from recycled plastic, and can be easily glued to the road surface to resist movement following minor impacts from passing traffic. Sometimes called "T-top bollards" from the T-bar molded into the top for tying tape, the bollard is an economical, cost effective, and safe delineation system designed especially for motorways and busy arterial roads. In conjunction with plastic tape, it is also effective in pedestrian control.
